Willis Gap Community Center

The Willis Gap Community Center Open Jam, 144 The Hollow Road, Ararat, VA 24053, has been jamming since around the 1990s. The jam started in the nearby home of Otto and Nellie Hiatt and later moved to the Community Center.

Open Jam is affiliated with The Crooked Road, Virginia’s Heritage Music Trail, Patrick County Tourism, Patrick County Chamber of Commerce, and Virginia Tourism Corporation. Check out their Facebook for updates.

Appalachian Acoustic Open Jam

Every Friday night. Doors open at 6:00 pm.

Playing Old Time, Bluegrass, Country, and Gospel. All skilled levels are invited. 

The kitchen opens at 6:00 pm with hotdogs, drinks, and snacks.  Music and Dancing from 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Enjoy music, food, fellowship, family fun, 50/50 drawing, and southern hospitality at its best. All proceeds go to The Willis Gap Community Center.

Golden Oldies

Last Tuesday of each month. Doors open at 6:00 pm.

Playing 50s, 60s, and 70s Rock and Roll starting at 6:30 pm

The kitchen opens at 6:00 pm with hotdogs, drinks, and snacks.  Music and Dancing from 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Enjoy music, food, fellowship, family fun, and 50/50 drawing. All proceeds go to The Willis Gap Community Center.
